Loom to the Moon

Several members of staff recently took on the challenge to help Loom to the Moon and contribute to the world record attempt to make the world’s longest loom band, all in memory of Skye Hall. Skye was a very special little boy who achieved a lot in his final year after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. One of his goals was to create a loom band that could reach all the way to the moon. Skye passed away recently at 5 years old. His family are very keen to continue receiving loom bands to meet the target set by Skye and to promote research into potential new, effective and safe treatment options for children with similar conditions. Everyone at Croft Vet Centre was more than happy to help out, especially since Skye’s mum had worked with us as a veterinary nurse several years ago.

We were very proud of our combined effort which measured 88.41m! If you would like to help out or find out more you can visit the Loom to the Moon Facebook page or visit Blue Skye Thinking.
